Level 1 – Out of Bounds

OUT OF BOUNDS: Out of Bounds level engages the member who is or has been involved in destructive behavioral habits like S.A.A.D. (Sex, Alcohol, Academic-probation, Drugs), which may ultimately lead to trouble in school and in society. The mentoring relationship is utilized to establish a program of change in the member’s life. The mentor implements and encourages goal-setting initiatives, self-discipline, and skill development that aim to improve the member’s sense of hopefulness and self-esteem.  The mentor and the member will work one-on-one and the member will be monitored for a year.   A member’s successful completion of this level will enable them to be offered opportunities to participate in monthly individual/group activities and outings reach the ultimate goal of advancing to the next level.
