Donations

EWDBA ‘s funding sources include private donations, business sponsorships, federal and state grants, and grants from private foundations.  EWDBA will advocate for those members who successfully complete our program and we will strive to grow the membership to over 1,000 annually.  The membership fee is $150.00/per year.  The program will also establish a number of contribution options that a supporter may choose from, including:

• Individual Sponsor/Cash Donations: $50.00 application fee / $100.00 annual dues / 20% of the cash donation.
• Donations/Business Sponsors: Ranging from $500.00 – $1000.00 annual fee to fund the “Out-of Bounds” and “Above the Rim” challenge course that all members are required to participate.
• Appreciated Stock Gifts:  gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, etc., may both support the program and provide tax savings benefits to the donor.
• Endowments / Legacy Gifts: a planned gift in a will, trust, or other estate plan.
• Private Corporate Giving and Sponsorships: Businesses may provide cash or grants, and are also encouraged to participate in the EWDBA fundraising events that take place throughout the year. These events may include Fun Walks/Runs, Wine Tasting, Bike-a-thons, Marathons, Concerts, Golf Tournaments, Raffles, etc.
• Local Grocery Store Community Partnership Program: EWDBA may receive a percentage of funds spent at local grocery stores utilizing the program card when making purchases. The card will be scanned at the checkout and the program will receive a percentage of the sale.
